The Restaurant da Cocò performs a restaurant service in one of the most suggestive corners of the island: a unique location in the famous village of Ischia Ponte at the foot of the Aragonese Castle, able to recreate an informal atmosphere as delicate as it is intimate. The restaurant advances a culinary proposal adhering to the Mediterranean cuisine in Ischia but still able to reinvent itself with creativity and balance. The restaurant is available for private parties and if requested, is activated for the organization of the animation according to customer preferences.
Mediterranean cuisine
The Restaurant da Cocò specializes in a culinary proposal adhering to the tradition of Mediterranean cuisine in Ischia. In addition to the typical fish dishes of the island and the coastal areas of the country, the restaurant offers vegetable appetizers that rest on materials such as aubergine and tomatoes; first courses of pasta; main courses of meat and traditional desserts of the Neapolitan cuisine. Each course can be accompanied by a local, national or international wine depending on the customer’s preference.
Advancing a proposal coherent with the Mediterranean tradition means first of all knowing perfectly the flavors that have made Italy the home of good food. The kitchen staff of the Da Cocò Restaurant has gained important experience in the restaurant industry, a fundamental experience to learn how to propose the most famous traditional recipes. Secondly, it should be pointed out that quality materials are fundamental for the preparation of unique dishes capable of satisfying the most delicate palates as much as those of ‘good forks’. The kitchen therefore uses raw materials of exceptional quality: seasonal vegetables produced in the surrounding area, fresh fish typical of the island, artisanal or artisan quality pasta, certified meat.
Despite the proposal of typical dishes of the Mediterranean area is always well received by customers, the restaurant’s kitchen staff aims to reinvent traditional recipes with mature and balanced variations. The already mentioned experience allowed the members of the kitchen staff to experiment alternatives to traditional dishes. Only having the time to experiment it is possible to find innovative solutions balanced and well integrated with the typical recipes of the Mediterranean culinary tradition.
Each dish proposed is therefore a synthesis between traditional flavors and innovation, capable of being appreciated for its taste adhering to flavors consolidated between the preferences of the customers as much as for the innovation that makes it interesting even for those who are looking for less obvious dishes.
