Restaurant “Da Ciccio” Ischia Ponte

“Da Ciccio” remains one of the few authentic trattorias on the island: traditional cuisine and typical dishes, seasoned with simple service and sympathy. The castle seems to protect with its shadow the suggestion of a table of other times, the mythical ones of the green island, reign of Angelo Rizzoli and international tourism.

Ciccio has remained true to himself, visiting it is ideal at this time, in the first warm days, when there is still no crowd and the customer is pampered with special treatment.

One of the musts of the restaurant is the stuffed squid, the water version of the rabbit that you always find in “mountain” restaurants of island. Near the sea instead there is this tasty squid stuffed with wet breadcrumbs, raisins, pine nuts and minced fish). Delicious Bruschetta and other seafood appetizers. And for pasta dishes many fresh pasta: Scialatielli and Paccheri with seafood, or with clams and courgettes, Mezzi Paccheri with mussels and pecorino, Pappardelle with red prawns, Linguine with scampi and artichokes.

The freshness of the catch is guaranteed, the latter are almost all of local fish: the flag fish is from the Ischia, with cherry tomatoes capers, olives and oregano, the earthenware is crazy water with the tomato, and then anchovies, swordfish, frying of paranza, prawns with wine, casserole of squid, octopus, mussel soup. Guido has chosen about thirty labels, favoring Ischia and Campania wines, and proposes them alongside the local bulk wine. Even the desserts are homemade: babà, caprese, chocolate cake, Tiramisu.
